Client is seeking a Database Administrator to join one of our top clients for Gold River California. This organization specializes in supporting state government infrastructure and services focusing on ensuring reliable and high-performing database systems for critical applications.
Position Overview for the Database Administrator
- Design implement and maintain database schemas aligned with business and application requirements
- Support application releases including schema changes data migrations and deployment coordination
- Monitor and optimize database performance including troubleshooting SQL and application-related performance issues
- Collaborate with developers to tune queries stored procedures and overall database interactions
- Ensure database compatibility and stability during application upgrades and new releases
Requirements for the Database Administrator
- Strong experience as a Database Administrator (DBA)
- Hands-on experience with Oracle databases and AWS Aurora (PostgreSQL and/or MySQL)
- Expertise in database performance tuning and query optimization
- Advanced SQL skills including troubleshooting and optimization of complex queries
- Experience supporting database changes within the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
