Short Description

The trained Surgical technologist under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician is assigned as an assistant to specific service areas in the Surgical Suite.

Experience Required

  • 2 years of Surgical Technologist CVOR experience is required

Education Requirements

  • Graduate of a nationally or regionally accredited educational program for Surgical Technologists

License/Certification Requirements

  • Certified Surgical Technologist Credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or its successor or other nationally recognized credentialing organization (e.g. NCCT National Center for Competency Testing etc.)

Special Requirements

  • 9A-9:30P
  • Weekend holiday and call rotation required
  • Must annually complete 15 hours of continuing education to remain qualified to practice as a Surgical Technologist in NJ.
