Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in a fast-paced catheterization lab. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise the ability to assist in complex procedures and maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Prepare and maintain sterile field during procedures
- Set up and operate cath lab equipment
- Monitor patient condition and cardiac rhythms during procedures
- Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias
- Assist with room circulation and patient preparation
- Ensure adherence to sterile technique and infection control standards
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff for optimal patient outcomes
Clinical Skills Required:
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization
- Cardiac stent placement and implant closure devices
- Left and right heart catheterization
- Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
- Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
- IABP (Insertion/Removal)
- Rotablator atherectomy
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and emergency response
- Scrubbing and circulating procedures
- Equipment setup and sterile technique
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
- Certifications required:
- ACLS
- BLS
- ARRT (R)
- RCIS (CCI)
- Strong knowledge of cardiac procedures and patient monitoring
