Job Summary

Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities

Directs others to or Facilitates training programs including new hire peer and need-specific training. Manages/Directs the design of instructional materials and liaises with all departments and all levels of management to create learning solutions/opportunities spanning both TSUS and external organizations.

Facilitates or conducts needs assessments/instructional analysis to ensure conformity with training objectives; create learning programs; prepare training status reports and remain current on developments in training and instructional methodologies.

Manages all internal training activities and coordinates training and evaluations of employees.

Maintain close communication with management and respond to request for support.

Directs or assigns special projects as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree or better from an accredited college or university and a minimum of ten (10) years of training experience or an equivalent education and experience combination.

Experience: Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Other Required Skills Knowledge or Abilities: Proficient using Microsoft Suite (e.g. Word Excel etc.)

Must be able to work under pressure and respond to tight turnaround time of projects.

Demonstrate leadership skills within a consensus building corporate culture and effectiveness
Must possess strong coordination organization and liaison skills to help consult in the marketing process of training services.

Strong problem solving skills. Individuals must be capable of accurately assessing needs maintaining a calm business demeanor and taking quick actions to resolve issues.

Clear and effective oral and written communications skills are critical; as is the ability to promote the open flow of information by actively soliciting and listening to the ideas of others.

Effective negotiation and excellent analytical skills.

Proven ability and commitment to being discreet tactful timely and operating judiciously when addressing internal and external customer needs.

Diplomatic interpersonal skills which allow successful candidate to effectively relate to all levels of associates and vendors.

Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.

Interpersonal Communications: Contacts with immediate associates and immediate supervisor for instructions training and guidance. Some contact with other departments or external contacts to clarify obtain and furnish information. May have some external contact with suppliers or customers. Effective oral and written communication skills with good vocabulary good grammar and good telephone etiquette.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job the incumbent is regularly required to sit walk talk hear and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to focus.

Work Environment

May be infrequently exposed to possible operations hazards or working in or visiting operational site including dust fumes toxic and caustic chemicals rotating machinery high pressure hot or cold work temperatures slippery surfaces water and electrical hazards.

Reporting Relationships

Complexity of Duties and Decisions: Work consists of varied but routine tasks processes or operations that are clearly defined. Uses pre-determined standards to ensure that data is entered reports are distributed and projects are completed in accordance with department policies and procedures. Resolves basic questions & refers more complex issues to higher levels.

Authority: Works under direct supervision. Directs subordinates using specific instructions to assure employees understand work assignments follows written or verbal instructions and established procedures and standard practice to perform assigned tasks.
