TO: All Teaching and Administrative Personnel Brockton Public Schools FROM: Dr. Kathleen F. Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources SUBJECT: Middle School Basketball Head Coaches- Unified Basketball (5); Ashfield South North Plouffe East Minimum Qualifications: Attend the free Unified Sports Track and Field Coaches training and complete the free 90-minute course Special Olympics of Massachusetts (SOMA) Strong organizational skillsCPR Certified AED Trained Responsibilities Oversee the administration of after school basketball practices. Meet regularly with Coordinator of Developmental Programs and SOMA to ensure quality program standards are being met and policies followed. Organize and lead all practice sessions and games both home and away Recruit students with intellectual disabilities and autism and neurotypical peers Work with Special Education Coordinator for Developmental Programs and Coordinator of MS AthleticsWork Hours: Vary based on practice and schedule. (April 2026)Compensation: Hourly contractual rate from the Intramural Grant .
