Your Opportunity

As a Real Estate and Community Housing Relationship Officer supporting the RESET4Youth Program in Miller you will play a critical role in helping young people secure and sustain private rental accommodation. The program uses an earlyintervention model to identify young people at risk of homelessness and provide tailored wraparound support. This is an onsite position that also involves outreach activity including engaging young people in more remote areas of southwest Sydney where service access is limited.

You will leverage strong relationships with real estate agencies community housing providers and the Department of Communities and Justice to create genuine housing pathways for young people facing significant barriers in a challenging rental market. Working closely with case workers you will contribute to support planning tenancy education and building the confidence and capability of young people striving for stability independence and longterm housing outcomes.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Build maintain and expand relationships with real estate agencies community housing providers and wider community partners to increase housing access for young people.
  • Proactively source suitable accommodation through networking coldcalling outreach and inperson engagement with real estate and housing organisations.
  • Support young people and case workers by contributing to support plans providing tenancyrelated guidance and assisting with housing applications referrals and advocacy.
  • Plan prepare and deliver tenancy housing and independent living workshops that promote education awareness and skillbuilding.
  • Maintain accurate timely administrative records including case notes reports workshop documentation compliance requirements and programrelated data.
  • Participate actively in community and interagency network meetings to share best practice strengthen partnerships and enhance service delivery opportunities.
  • Develop and implement promotional materials and outreach strategies to increase program visibility and engage young people across southwest Sydney.

Requirementsfor Success

  • Relevant degree with at least one year of experience or equivalent qualifications/experience gained through community services housing or property management roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in housing tenancy real estate or property management with strong knowledge of the rental market and housing barriers for young people.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to diverse audiences including young people real estate partners and stakeholders.
  • Strong resilience and the ability to navigate rejection limited housing availability challenging conversations and fluctuating engagement from young people.
  • Highlevel organisational skills including attention to detail initiative and the ability to manage competing priorities in a highpressure environment.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and administrative processes including accurate recordkeeping reporting and preparation of advocacy referral and support documents.
  • Creativity and confidence in planning and delivering workshops along with a capacity to work autonomously as the sole role of its kind within a collaborative team environment.
  • Full driver licence with no restrictions.
