Primary Purpose:
Assist ESL teacher in federal state and local administrative requirements of the English as a Second Language program. Work under supervision of certified ESL teacher. Work in coordination with Special Education staff on campus.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
48 college credits Associates Degree or Higher PreferredSpanish preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Computer Skills with software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience:
Office skills in an educational setting.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Gather student academic information from internal and external sources.
- Assist with administration and scoring of language proficiency testing instruments.
- Maintain accurate auditable records with all required documentation.
- Help with inventory care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Prepare accurate required reports in a timely manner.
- Ensure accurate student data reporting.
- Regular and effective communication with parents staff and administration.
- Prepare coordinate and document all aspects of LPAC meeting.
- Assist in organization use and documentation of learning lab use.
- All other duties as assigned.

Copier personal computer typewriter and audiovisual equipment.
Working Conditions:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Moderate standing stooping bending and lifting.
