SUMMARY: The Speech-Language Pathologist conducts evaluations and offers therapeutic interventions for patients experiencing communication and/or swallowing difficulties as a result of illness accident birth defect or developmental delay.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Masters degree in Speech Pathology from ASHA accredited university

Experience:Acute care experience preferred including experience gained from graduate level clinical externship; strong dysphagia evaluation and treatment skills.

SUMMARY:The Speech-Language Pathologist conducts evaluations and offers therapeutic interventions for patients experiencing communication and/or swallowing difficulties as a result of illness accident birth defect or developmental delay.

Working Conditions:

Manual: Little or no manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Little or no potential for occupational risk

Physical Effort: Sedentary/light effort. May exert up to 10 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Generally pleasant working conditions
