Job Summary

Description

We are excited to welcome a Commercial Credit Intern for Summer 2026! This internship is anticipated to take place over 1012 weeks during the months of June through August.


This position is primarily responsible for assisting the department in conducting annual financial reviews of existing commercial loan relationships to determine the continued credit worthiness of the borrower.


Essential Functions

  • Gather and analyze financial documents which include by are not limited to
  • Business financial statements
  • Business tax returns
  • Personal tax returns
  • Personal financial statements
  • Personal credit bureau reports
  • Summarize the findings in written reports by assessing the
  • Repayment capacity
  • Collateral coverage
  • Financial strength of the borrower and guarantors
  • Compliance with loan covenants
  • Assisting analysts in
  • Line renewals
  • Customer visits

Nonessential Functions

  • Performs additional duties as requested.
  • Attend at least one (1) in-house workshop/training.
Requirements


Location: This is a hybrid role based out of White River Junction Vermont.


What you Bring

  • College student with interest in accounting
  • Completion of course work in Accounting at the intermediate to advanced level
  • Ability to use and working knowledge of personal computers software packages (principally Microsoft Word and Excel) and the internet and typing skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to multi-task work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and privacy
  • Professional appearance; grooming and dress consistent with MSB appearance policy
