POSITION SPECIFICS

The School of Labor and Employment Relations at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for the position of AssistantResearch Professor with the Center for International Human Resource Studies to begin onJuly1 2026with flexibility.

Candidates mustpossessa Ph.D. inhuman resource management international business or related fields as well as evidence of an emerging research program relevant to the Centers interestsatthetime of appointment.

Familiarity with comparative HRM research and the CRANET research network would be a plus.The Assistant Research Professor will be expected to pursue international HRM research while with the Center. They will also provide service support to the Center which includesassistancein organizing international scholarly conferences workshops and webinars. The Assistant Research Professor will also be expected to teach two courses during the academic year with alikelyfocuson HRM or research methods courses.Priorrelevant teaching experience is preferred. Teaching obligations could include courses in theschools residential or online programs. The appointee will also be expected toparticipateactively inschool activities.

The School of Labor and Employment Relations (LER) offers undergraduate degrees in Labor and Human Resources and in Organizational Leadership as well as graduate degrees in Human Resources and Employment Relations in residence and online through Penn States World Campus.
