Job Summary

We are currently hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager 3 - Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories for a prestigious hospital in Dublin Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong professional and clinical leadership ensuring the delivery of safe high-quality evidence-based patient care that promotes clinical effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Monitor and evaluate service quality documentation standards patient information processes complaints and risk management activities collaborating with quality and senior management teams to drive continuous improvement.

  • Lead the development implementation and evaluation of clinical policies procedures and best practice guidelines providing regular reports to senior nursing and operational management as required.

  • Manage staffing resources effectively including rostering allocation of duties monitoring absences and ensuring adequate skill mix to maintain continuity of care within allocated budgets.

  • Oversee recruitment selection performance management annual appraisals and goal setting for nursing staff ensuring compliance with organisational human resource policies.

  • Ensure all staff complete mandatory training (e.g. CPR manual handling fire safety customer care) and maintain a high level of competence and regulatory compliance.

  • Promote a positive work environment by fostering teamwork staff morale open communication and supportive supervision across all shifts.

  • Support professional development within the unit by identifying learning needs facilitating training opportunities supervising students and collaborating with practice development departments to maintain a strong learning culture.

  • Deputise for the Director of Nursing when required and actively contribute as a member of the senior nursing management team participating in service planning committee work and organisational initiatives.

  • Maintain a safe clean and secure clinical environment while ensuring effective communication within the unit and across multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and staff satisfaction.




  • Requirements

  • Must be registered in the General Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

  • A minimum of five years post-registration experience is required including at least two years recent experience in a Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory nursing environment.

  • A relevant Level 9 qualification is desirable.

  • Previous management experience within an angiography or cardiac catheterisation department is required.

  • Demonstrated evidence of ongoing continuing professional development (CPD).
