We are currently hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 - Cardiac Catheterisation Labs for a prestigious hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
Provide strong clinical and professional leadership within the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory ensuring patient-centred evidence-based care aligned with national guidelines and regulatory standards of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Lead coordinate and oversee the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of patient care ensuring safe high-quality service delivery and continuity of care across the multidisciplinary team.
Promote clinical governance through participation in audit quality improvement initiatives research risk management and implementation of best practice policies and procedures.
Demonstrate effective leadership and team management by supervising motivating and supporting nursing staff fostering a positive culture that values diversity collaboration and professional accountability.
Manage human and material resources efficiently including staff rostering budget oversight workforce planning performance management and compliance with HR policies and statutory requirements.
Ensure compliance with health safety infection prevention and control standards incident reporting procedures and regulatory frameworks including awareness of relevant Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) standards where applicable.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with cardiology consultants nursing management operations management service users families and external stakeholders to optimise patient outcomes.
Support service development and transformation initiatives demonstrating openness to change innovation resilience and alignment with national healthcare strategies and organisational objectives.
Promote education and professional development by identifying training needs supporting induction programmes supervising students and staff engaging in performance review processes and maintaining personal continuing professional development.
Uphold the highest standards of professionalism ethical practice integrity and confidentiality while acting within scope of practice deputising for senior management when required and contributing actively to hospital committees and service planning.
Requirements
Registered in the General Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) with an active licence to practise.
Minimum of five years post-registration nursing experience including at least two years recent experience in a Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory or Interventional Cardiology setting.
Relevant Level 9 postgraduate qualification (desirable) preferably in Cardiology Cardiovascular Nursing or Healthcare Management.
Demonstrated management or supervisory experience within a Cath Lab or angiography department.
Proven ability to provide clinical leadership and manage a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity environment.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based practice clinical governance audit and quality improvement processes.
Experience in staff rostering performance management and resource allocation.
Excellent communication organisational and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
