HOURLY JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Performs a wide range and variety of assembly material handling and Quality Inspection duties:
- Lifting bending twisting stooping climbing reaching above shoulder level kneeling pushing pulling squatting standing sitting and walking on a daily basis.
- Move components and sub-assemblies to assign work areas for processing by production employees and to remove them as directed.
- Must be able to lift and maneuver within a range of zero to five feet vertically and twenty-five paces horizontally a load of up to thirty-five pounds.
- Must be able to walk up to five miles in an eight hour shift.
- Must be able to see parts and non-conformances one-eighth of an inch across a distance of two feet.
- Must be able to torque screws using a torque driver to twenty inch/pounds.
- Must be able to detect subtle differences in color and texture.
- Must be able to keep neat and accurate inspection records.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Assemble parts repetitively and rapidly.
- Visually inspect parts and assemblies.
- Lift anywhere from ounces to 50 pounds repeatedly for the full work shift.
- Ability to be trained two (2)or more assembly operations during a work shift.
- Uses hand air tools and manual tools.
- Work overtime as scheduled.
- Use hand trucks floor hoists and other material-handling devices.
- Using measuring tools. Keep records as directed. Work overtime as scheduled.
- Must possess basic math skills and know how to use a hand held calculator.
- Must be able to learn to read and understand standard engineering drawings.
