Job Summary

Drill Core Technician: Reporting to the Project Manager or Geologist the Drill Core Technicians will assist in preparing drill core for logging (converting depth measurements from feet to meters using a calculator and measuring and photographing core) cutting of core with a diamond core saw (similar to a wet masonry saw) bagging weighing and numbering cut core samples and preparing samples for shipment. This position will involve travel to the Candelaria mine site lifting of up to 100 lbs and using powered equipment (core saw). Work will be in a high noise wet and potentially dusty environment (hearing and breathing protection will be provided). This position is located in Hawthorne NV and at the Candelaria mine site located approximately 55 miles south of Hawthorne. The Company will provide transportation to the mine site Candidates must be able to perform all mentioned tasks. Candidates do not need experience in operating a core saw; training will be addition to Drill Core Technician duties candidate may also be trained to perform geotechnical duties including taking and recording core recovery RQD and MagSus measurements.
