Role Purpose and Team
The Finance Director - Global Practices role is a key role in managing Global Practices and central budgets. Reporting to Global Practices CFO and dotted line into Global Media Finance Director the purpose of this role is to provide financial management and business partnering to Global Practice leaders to ensure achievement of revenue/operating profit targets for the central P&L whilst maximising opportunity to deliver against overall strategic & operational goals.
The role covers the central teams for the Global Practices. This includes annual revenues of approximately 35m and a total cost base of around (110)m. The role manages 7 onshore resources supported by offshore (FSB)
Key Responsibilities
Overall management of central Practices P&L and Balance Sheet
Provide delivery and interpretation of financial analysis to enable key decisions and achieve targets. Identify actions to drive opportunities and mitigate risks
Delivery analysis & insight of consolidated budgets and forecasts (4 BPC entities)
Oversee delivery of high-quality monthly accounts and reporting (4 BPC entities). Providing interpretation of financial analysis to enable business areas to make key decisions and achieve targets
Commercial contract negotiation for non-media related spend
Financial ownership of one-off projects
Identify and drive operational improvement through analysis of financial plans management information and performance
Define and implement best practice planning and control techniques in line with business needs; maximise & optimise usage of the Financial Services Bangalore (FSB)
Financial operations management & escalation point for central teams (450 staff)
Performance development & management of onshore team 7 FTE. Support the development of FSB.
