The LOD2 NFR Risk Specialist reports hierarchically to the Non-Financial Risk Manager.

The main responsibility of the 2LOD NFR Risk Specialist is to monitor if the risks are within the acceptability threshold in terms of the groups risk appetite in two domains Operational Risk and Information Risk. As such his mission covers participating in initiatives and activities which contribute to improving the entities maturity level in terms of risk posture in all topics related to Operational Risk IT and Cyber Risks and Ensuring the overall control measures for operational information and cyber risks are effectively implemented by LOD1.

In the Information Risk capacity the LOD2 NFR Risk Specialist supports in developing systems to control monitor and challenge IT assets risk management in terms of Information Security Risk Data Management Risk & Technology Support Risk. This domain will cover 70% of the specialists the Operational Risk capacity the LOD2 NFR Risk Specialist supports in monitoring and challenging Operational Risk exercise cycles as well as incident analysis. This domain will cover 30% of the specialists activities.

Required expertise:

Relevant University degree (Bachelor/Masters level) e.g. business or technology related field is required.

Candidates with higher education on Risk Management topics combined with adequate knowledge of the financial sector will also be considered.

OptionalAdded Value expertise:

CISSP and CISM (or equivalent) accredited or the ability to obtain these in a short term (1-3 years)
