We are looking for a Senior Director to act as a technical expert on projects involved in domestic and international arbitration and litigation. As a Senior Director youll work with projects in infrastructure oil gas renewables and shipping. Youll support with managing team members draft expert reports attending client meetings and testify in arbitration and litigations.
This position is a permanent parttime role compensated on an hourly basis.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Drafting expert reports and analysis for the final reports
Managing the workload and tasks of the project team
Manages budgets and fee reports
Reviewing documents on varied project types in a broad range of industries for example infrastructure oil & gas
Drafting notes and external communications to assist with the overall project scope and individual work streams
Drafting project and fee proposals related to area of expertise
Interfacting with other expert disciplines within Kroll (for example other technical experts or experts in the Delay and Quantum teams)
Presenting and participating in client meetings
Attending marketing events as agreed with management client events seminars and lectures to build relationships in the field
US based with some national and international travel
Essential Traits:
MSc or PhD level education and industry experience in the field of naval architecture
CENG Professional Engineer Status or EUR ENG required
Ideally 12 years of related industry experience
Experience in performing detailed structural and fatigue analyses
Experience of drafting sections of technical reports
Excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel and comfortable with large sets of data
