Position Overview:
The Pharmaceutical Distribution Intern will play a vital role in supporting the distribution of Johnson & Johnson pharmaceuticals at our facility through a variety of operational and supply chain-related projects. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience and professional growth opportunities for students looking to build a career in supply chain management and distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Continuous Improvement Projects: Assist in driving continuous improvement initiatives through Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. This includes participating in cost improvement projects and implementing strategies to optimize supply chain processes.
Inventory and Operations Management: Help track critical supply inventory levels and monitor operational metrics. The Co-Op will gain exposure to inventory management on a site regional and global scale providing valuable insights into the complexities of pharmaceutical distribution.
Systems Experience: Gain hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Quality Management Systems (QMS). The candidate will learn how to leverage these tools to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with multiple departments and business partners including Quality Assurance Transportation and Safety to understand the full scope of distribution operations and ensure alignment with company goals.
Operational Analysis: Conduct detailed analyses of the movement of people processes and products throughout the distribution center. This involves monitoring current workflows identifying inefficiencies or gaps and developing actionable recommendations for process improvements.
Volume and Impact Assessment: Utilize the Warehouse Management System to evaluate the impact of distribution activities at both macro and micro levels providing valuable data to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management Industrial Engineering Logistics Business Administration or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint); experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and warehouse management systems is desirable but not required.
