Data Modeler

Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at a Client office at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.

The Data Modeler will be a part of a SaaS migration project of the current Client Onboarding System. We are looking for a Data Modeler who is a self-starting results-oriented highly motivated individual with great attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. A candidate for this role will need to multitask lead workstreams and be comfortable working in a fast-paced and agile environment with tight project delivery timelines.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Work with business users and technology to obtain data requirements and analyze source systems data.
Design and develop conceptual logical and physical data models for the operational and analytical data models.
Work closely with the technical and application architects and developers to implement the data architecture and application solution.
Document data flows identify appropriate data sources entities relationships and redundancies.
Manage data integrity and data quality.
Maintain technical & business metadata for SaaS or Internal ingestion frameworks.
Design data structures and document data meanings definitions and intended use.
Support data migration data strategies standards guidelines data quality process data validation and governance across the enterprise/and for this project.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

.Relational and dimensional data modelling and database design Data modelling skills including Data Mapping Analysis Transformation Analysis.
.Strong SQL Schema Conversion/Translation and some Python knowledge.
.Knowledge of data architectural approaches patterns and emerging technologies (RDBMS KeyValue).
.Exposure or knowledge of Cloud platforms cloud architecture capabilities and processes like GCP/AWS.
.Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Strong Analytical skills.
.Experience creating architecture and strategy artifacts. Also it can generate data dictionaries for the target state.
.Experience with XML JSON and CSV files Ingestion formats.
.Experience working in an Agile environment.
.Knowledge of the Data Governance process for metadata and lineage management is a strong asset. Exposure to any Data Governance and Data lineage tools.
.Domain Knowledge in financial Services and enterprise functions is a strong asset.
.Knowledge of database administration database performance tuning source & target data structures ETL processes/products.
.Bachelors Degree in computer engineering or information science.

**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95000$145000. This role is an existing vacancy.
