Job Duties:

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures safe and efficient operation of the plant and its associated equipment
  • May work without direct supervision on shift operations
  • Complies with environmental protection protocols and procedures
  • Adheres to safety protocols and procedures
  • Analyzes data and communicates recommendations on equipment and systems operations both verbally and in written reports
  • Maintains forms logs or reports
  • Starts stops and adjusts equipment settings to maintain operational requirements
  • Cleans and maintains work areas and equipment
  • Makes regular inspections of plant equipment and prepares equipment malfunction reports
  • Assists in the training and oversight of new employees in these and other safe and efficient plant operational procedures
  • Assists with preventative and corrective maintenance as needed

Seeking a team member that is committed to the mission of the central heating plant to provide the entire campus with a constant supply of steam in the most efficient reliable and safest way possible.

Job summary: monitorsoperates adjustsmaintains and repairs a variety of technical equipment for the campus central heating plant.

Compensation:

Minimum starting salary of $28.00commensuratewith qualificationsexperienceand availablebudget. A twelve-month probationary period is.

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of boiler operation.

  • Basic knowledge of valves pumps compressors fans and piping systems.

  • Mechanical aptitude including the use of common hand tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Boiler operation and maintenance experience.
