Job Summary
Position:Teacher Assistant (Long Term Substitute) Location:Milford High SchoolSchedule:Hours 7:50 2:20 (February End of School Year)Salary:TBDTo Start:February Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredBachelors Degree preferred;Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement preferred;Experience working with students with and without disabilities;Demonstrate the ability to assist in the inclusion and/or Special Education classroomExperience working with English Language LearnersBilingual preferredCPI training preferredResponsibilities:Work under the supervision of building administration Special Education teachers andclassroom teachersAssist small groups and/or individual students with progress toward academic social- emotional and/or behavioral goals within the classroom with guidance provided by the teacher;Communicate and collaborate with teachers;Provide direct instruction in an inclusion classroom or small group setting;Ability to modify curriculum;Maintain confidential information;Collect data on student performance as needed;Assist students with daily living/self-help skills;Attend and participate in training opportunities as directed; andPerform supervisory duties as assigned by school administration.
