Job Summary

Position Overview:

The Supervisor Lab is responsible and accountable for the testing and production of concentrates and formulated products and all aspects of the tracking and quality controlmanagement. Ensures the safe accurate and timely testing and production of concentrates and formulated products. Supervises and oversees the work of several lab technicians. Coordinates with production schedules and Cure/Vault regarding product inventory and availability. The Supervisor journals monitors and tracks all observations in the companys software seed to sale tracking system.

Major Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Follow Policies & Procedures for the daily operations and fully comply with statemedical marijuana regulations
  • Maintains testing and formulating operations by initiating coordinating and enforcingoperational policies and procedures
  • Perform QA/QC through analytical testing for quality consistency and efficacy
  • Work closely with production team on all elements of the testing and formulating process
  • Design extraction trials and experiments to optimize extraction purity and efficiency
  • Develop new extraction and purification techniques. Keep abreast of developments inthe industry
  • Master various techniques for marijuana extraction and infusion including butaneextraction
  • Develop expertise in testing and formulating methods as well as the purificationseparation and isolation of various compounds of cannabis
  • Responsible for inventory recordkeeping and quality of product at all times maintaininginventory via seed to sale tracking
  • Responsible for coordinating Waste Disposal of extraction waste and product return waste
  • Facilitates and coordinates the operational requirements between in the productionworkflow
  • Responsible for accurately weighing and recording all product weights
  • Works in a timely manner and strives to improve quality and maintain accuracy
  • Make sure that all concentrates are packaged counted sorted and labeled accurately
  • Manages day to day issues as they arise requesting assistance as needed
  • Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age
  • Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or similar field preferred3-5 years of experience in related position with an emphasis in an operationsproduction/manufacturing environment
  • Experience must include hands-on responsibility for the full scope production activitiesboth operations and analysis
  • Experience with analytical testing required and HPLC- specific experience preferred
  • Experience in various cannabis testing or formulation methods preferred
  • Excellent leadership interpersonal and multitasking skills
  • Ability to interact professionally at all times leading by example
  • Manage a controlled workflow in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about the importance of medical marijuana
  • Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment
  • Experience in cannabis oil extraction including decarboxylation supercritical CO2extraction winterization distillation and separation including related equipmentmaintenance experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Must pass all required background checks

Additional Abilities Required:

The job requires physical activity including prolonged standing repetitive bendingclimbing and lifting or moving up to 10 pounds (or more with a coworker). Good visualacuity hand-eye coordination manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitivemotions with accuracy is required. The noise level in the work environment is usuallymoderate.
