About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python FastAPI and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be responsible for designing developing and scaling high-performance backend services deployed on Cloud Run integrating GraphQL (Strawberry) and building event-driven architectures using Pub/Sub.
This role requires strong system design skills cloud-native development experience and the ability to mentor junior developers while collaborating closely with frontend DevOps and product teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI
- Build and maintain GraphQL APIs using Strawberry
- Deploy and manage containerized services on Google Cloud Run
- Implement asynchronous and event-driven systems using Google Pub/Sub
- Optimize application performance reliability and scalability
- Write clean maintainable and testable code
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps teams
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6 years of backend development experience
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Hands-on experience with FastAPI
- Experience building GraphQL APIs using Strawberry
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Cloud Run
- Pub/Sub
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience with asynchronous programming in Python
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL MongoDB etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Strong problem-solving and system design skills
