EHS Manager
Location: Wigan Greater Manchester
Salary: 55000 - 65000 benefits
Weve partnered with a leading global manufacturing organisation to appoint an experienced EHS Manager for a state-of-the-art facility near Wigan. The role focuses on leading Environmental Health & Safety activity on site embedding effective systems promoting a strong safety culture and supporting operational performance.
The role will suit a proactive EHS professional who enjoys building frameworks influencing stakeholders and operating in fast-paced technically complex environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all EHS activity across the facility ensuring full compliance with UK legislation and internal standards
- Develop implement and continuously improve EHS management systems policies and procedures
- Act as the site lead for risk management incident investigation audits and inspections
- Partner closely with operations engineering and leadership teams to embed a strong safety culture
- Drive environmental performance sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement
About You:
- Proven experience in an EHS leadership role within a fast paced Logistics Warehousing or Manufacturing environment
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and relevant environmental qualification preferred
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data identify trends and implement effective actions.
