WHAT YOULL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The Maintenance Helper will assist the maintenance mechanic in trouble shooting minor adjustments and repairs of plant equipment; to achieve maximum levels of quality and production while minimizing downtime. Training is on-the-job and the working environment is fast paced. This vital position also works closely with the maintenance staff.

• Alert maintenance of all breakdowns and give updates to equipment status
• Make adjustments as necessary to plant equipment to optimize quality and production
• Performs preventive maintenance and light repair
• Maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory preventative maintenance logs in-process production reports and status and location of materials
• Monitors materials and resources required to complete assignments
• Moves or transports materials from one job assignment to another
• Monitors and controls movement of material and parts on automated conveyor system
• Arranges for and participates in repair and assembly of materials or parts
• 70% of time will be spent in or near production areas
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe plant
• Performs other duties as assigned.

3rd Shift 11:00 PM to 07:30 AM; Overtime Weekends and Holidays may be mandatory based on business needs. Rotating workday/time off schedules may be mandatory depending on department/business needs as well.
