Job Summary

Position Description:

The Procurement Specialist leads IT category strategy sourcing and procurement activities using global best practices. The role analyzes spend and supplier markets manages key contracts and delivers recommendations that create value for CGI and its internal clients. This role reports to a Director based in Canada and supports global stakeholders across multiple time zones.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with IT stakeholders to align category plans with business needs.
Present spend analysis and procurement recommendations to secure stakeholder support.
Collaborate with Global Procurement Business Partners (GPBPs).
Category & Sourcing Leadership
Lead the assigned IT category and develop the category strategy.
Conduct spend contract and supplier market analyses.
Identify and develop category pipeline opportunities.
Lead sourcing initiatives including negotiations and contract development aligned with CGIs Global Procurement Sourcing Methodology.
Manage major category contracts.
Support capability development by guiding sourcing leads.
Implement process improvements to strengthen category management maturity.
Operational Management
Maintain Preferred Supplier information and project tracking tools.
Conduct annual supplier risk reviews and ensure accurate reporting.
Partner with business teams to mitigate sourcing and supplier risks.
Contribute to continuous improvement of the Global Procurement function.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

710 years of experience in procurement strategy sourcing contracting category management supplier management and stakeholder engagement.
Experience working in a global organization and managing supplier strategies at scale.
Proven negotiation track record with measurable cost savings.
Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science Business Finance Procurement or related field.
Strong understanding of contract financials.
Proficiency in English (written and verbal); French or other languages an asset.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office; PSA Eproc experience is an asset.
Project management capabilities.
Occasional travel required.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $105000$155000. This role is an existing vacancy.

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role requiring interaction with national and global clients.
