DescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant/ Manager to join our team in Longford.

As the Financial accountant you will be responsible for managing a range of activities from preparation of the monthly Financial Statements of the site to supporting on a range of business projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end closing process which includes crafting journal entries determining accruals and managing the General Ledger.
- Act as the Senior Finance representative for the site.
- Develop the Monthly Reporting Pack encompassing the P&L and Balance Sheet alongside scheduling for Fixed Assets Capex and Amortization.
- Handle the preparation of Prepayments and Accruals as well as manage Intercompany Debtors Reconciliation and sign-off.
- Conduct Bank Account Reconciliations including those for Livestock and Debtors while preparing General Ledger reconciliations.
- Perform General Ledger spend analysis and serve as the primary contact for external financial and tax auditors.
- Prepare VAT VIES and Intrastat Returns.
- Assist in divisional analysis of Variable and Fixed costs and support the budgeting process.
Requirements- Part Qualified/Qualified Accountant with minumum 4 years post qualification experience ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of monthly reconciliations and identifying opportunities for development within existing control procedures
- High awareness of current technical accounting and reporting requirements
- Strong technical ability with financial analysis and reporting skills
- Computer literate with good Excel skills with solid understanding of accounting software principles
