Job Summary

Knoxville Community School District seeks to fill the following anticipated position for the 2026-2027 school year:

7-12 Agriculture Teacher and FFA Sponsor

Properly Licensed with Iowa Board of Educational Examiners for this position with one or more of the following endorsements:112: 5-12 Agriculture

Primary Responsibilities

TheAgriculture Teacher and FFA SponsorattheHigh School(grades 9-12) provides standards-based instruction for students inninth throughtwelfthgrade.
This position supports comprehensiveengaging agricultural education that prepares students for success in postsecondary education careers and leadership within the agricultural industry.
Demonstrates ability to enhance academic performance and support for and implementation of the school districts student achievement goals.
Demonstrates competence in content knowledge appropriate to the teaching position.
Demonstrates competence in planning and preparing for instruction integrating classroom instruction laboratory and hands-on experiences.
Uses strategies to deliver instruction that meets the multiple learning needs of students.
Uses a variety of methods to monitor student learning.
Demonstrates competence in classroom management.
Engages in professional growth.
Fulfills professional responsibilities established by the school district.

Compensation

Current minimum annual salary: approximately$50224.00with anticipated increase for the 26-27 school year.
Placement on the salary schedule will be based on education and experience.
