Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Type: Contract Travel
Shift: Night Shift (3x12-Hour Shifts 19:00 - 07:00)
Location: Stockbridge GA

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry for a contract travel nursing position. As a Telemetry RN you will provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients manage cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias. This position requires strong knowledge of cardiac drips post-cardiac catheterization care and advanced arrhythmia management.

Key Responsibilities:

Cardiac Telemetry & Dysrhythmia Management: Continuous cardiac monitoring arrhythmia interpretation and emergency response.
Cardiac Drip Management: Administer and manage titration of cardiac medications (e.g. amiodarone cardizem dopamine nitroglycerin milrinone heparin argatroban and others).
Post-Cardiac Catheterization Care: Provide care for patients post-cardiac catheterization including TR Band management and hemodynamic monitoring.
Critical Care & Med/Surg Duties: Manage a variety of patient conditions including CHF chest pain pulmonary issues (COPD pulmonary edema) DVT and more.
IV Therapy & Phlebotomy: Administer medications maintain peripheral and central lines and perform phlebotomy.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory pharmacy and social services to provide comprehensive care.
Patient Care: Deliver bedside nursing care including assessments medication administration and executing physician orders. Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience. Previous Charge Nurse experience is preferred.
Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS (preferred)
Travel Experience Required: Must have travel nursing experience. First-time travelers are not accepted for this role.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge in cardiac drips and arrhythmia management
- Proficient in Epic electronic charting (preferred)
- Experience in BiPAP/CPAP and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) management is a plus
Float Requirement: Ability to float to like units as needed.
Weekend Requirement: Availability for every other weekend.
Floating: Yes within the facility and scope of practice.
