This person will have responsibility for:
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure product or service conformance to specifications.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish quality metrics set goals and drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Investigate and analyze customer complaints and non-conformance issues identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on quality metrics to management highlighting trends and recommending actions to address deficiencies.
- Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Participate in supplier qualification and evaluation processes to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.
- Promote a culture of quality and facilitate training programs to enhance quality awareness and skills within the organization.
- Stay updated on industry best practices emerging trends and regulatory changes related to quality management.
- Led a team of internal and external quality auditors to ensure the products are being audited on time with all the necessary protocols as per SOPs.
Desired professional qualities:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field; a masters degree is preferred
- End to End Product Knowledge (Jewellery All Categories) is a must
- Proven experience in quality management or a related role with a minimum of 7 years experience in jewellery industry
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems methodologies and regulatory requirements
- Strong understanding of quality control principles statistical analysis and process improvement techniques
- Demonstrated experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Six Sigma Lean ISO) are highly desirable
