Summary:
-
Support and validate fracture assessments for service life requirements
-
Perform strength analyses including interpretation of vehicle loads and environments stress calculations and development of margins of safety using known allowables
-
Ensure observance of program standards to maintain structural integrity; document and present stress reports
-
Plan and organize structural analysis at the program level to assure compliance with integrity and stability requirements
-
Develop integrate and document complex or unique structural requirements to define system design
-
Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish product environments
-
Develop analytical processes and tools to improve effectiveness quality and efficiency of structural development
-
Support test planning execution and reporting to verify that components meet performance requirements
Requirements:
-
Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science Mathematics Physics or Chemistry and 9 years of related experience or Masters degree with 7 years of experience orPhD with 4 years of experience

ABET-accredited programs preferred but not required
-
Experience with aerospace structural hardware
-
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) expertise including NASTRAN
-
Experience performing fracture and service life assessments
-
Strong technical writing skills for strength and stress reporting
-
Some experience with launch vehicle structures
-
Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
