About the Role: Childcare OSHC Educator / Support Worker

Employment Type: Casual
Start Date: ASAP


Join our OSHC team to plan and deliver fun educational and engaging activities for primary-aged children. This casual role includes work during school holiday programs as well as before and after school hours providing ongoing casual opportunities to make a positive impact in the lives of children.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that support childrens learning and development.
  • Provide a safe supportive and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Supervise and interact with children during structured and free-play activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with children parents and staff.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for all children.


Position Requirements

Candidates must either:

  • Hold a ACECQA approved qualifications:

OR

  • Have experience working with children as a Support Worker. Unqualified applicants will be considered.


In addition candidates will ideally:

  • Have a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Demonstrate strong communication teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification or be willing to obtain.
  • Have experience in an approved education and care service for qualified applicants.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the National Quality Standards Early Years Learning Framework and the ReggioEmilia Approach for qualified applicants.


Essential Criteria:

  • A personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Active participation in a church or Christian community exemplifying Christian beliefs behaviour and practices.
  • Acceptance of the Colleges Statement of Faith.
  • Ability to build cooperative and supportive relationships with the Board Principal staff students and parents.
  • Commitment to personal best practice.
  • Ensure decisions are impartial fact-based and fair.
  • Model appropriate and proper channels of communication.
  • Consistently act in the best interests of the College and its ethos.
  • Adherence to all policies and procedures outlined by SCBC.
  • Commitment to maintaining a child-safe environment in line with the Colleges values and policies.

Possession of the following certifications:

  • National Police Clearance
  • Working with Children Check
  • First Aid Certificate
