What Youll Be Doing

• Create and revise 2D engineering drawings using CAD software
• Develop 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks
• Design and detail small mechanical components for industrial machinery
• Generate and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs)
• Gain hands-on exposure in a production/manufacturing environment
• Collect analyze and report engineering data
• Create technical reports charts and graphs using Microsoft Excel
• Work with large data sets organizing information into clear presentable formats
• Assist Controls Engineers during machine build testing and start-up
• Take and interpret measurements using multimeters pressure gauges and load cells
• Support component selection activities for mechanical and electrical systems
• Research and evaluate components for design incorporation
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes and technical specifications
• Read and interpret vendor quotes and customer specification documents
• Participate in customer and internal engineering calls to understand requirements and design impact
• Attend project meetings and present updates on assigned tasks and deliverables

Required Skills

• You are currently enrolled in an engineering program at an accredited college or university
• You have completed 2 years (Junior or Senior) at an accredited college or university
• You are in good academic standing

This position operates in a professional office environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of conditions within the plant. The noise level is usually moderate.
