Summary:

The People Services Senior Business Partner Consultant provides advanced operational and consultative support ensuring data integrity leading process improvement projects and resolving complex organizational challenges through cross-departmental addition to core BPC duties this role may act as a mentor for consultants serve as an internal system subject matter expert or function as a full Business Partner supporting a portfolio of schools.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures accuracy of HRIS transactions and provides timely responses to support ticket requests.
  • Supports the verification of employment and unemployment function in collaboration with our external vendor such as pulling documentation from CRM attending unemployment hearings etc.
  • Reviews data and generates reports from disparate sources such as exit interview platform engagement survey retention dashboard credentialing database etc. and monitors metrics at the school-level to provide insight on potential people initiatives or compliance concerns.
  • Responds to employee inquiries and assists with providing information answering questions and providing a warm handoff to other departments consulting with appropriate stakeholders as needed. Performs periodic audits for area of responsibilities to ensure the employee is set up correctly in HRIS.
  • Supports the Business Partners and provides guidance to individual employees related to employee performance employee concerns policy explanation time off benefits explanation staffing support and other employee related matters informing appropriate stakeholders as needed (i.e. Employee Relations Benefits etc.).
  • Assist Business Partners with strategic staffing solutions and talent management initiatives.
  • Organize and prepare documentation for employee personnel files as necessary.
  • Collaborates with NHA department leaders to resolve organizational challenges.
  • Participates in cross-functional projects managing timelines stakeholders and deliverables to drive successful outcomes.
  • Continually look for ways to improve current workflows and processes develop policies and procedures along with role clarity documents.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for BPCs fostering growth and professional development within the BPC team.
  • May function as a Business Partner by supporting a portfolio of schools in addition to functioning as the BPC. Additionally may be required to assist with coverage of other BPCs or BPs as needed.
  • May serve as subject matter expert on internal processes or systems.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role.
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Labor Relations or Business Management area of study or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to use generalized software systems (i.e. HRIS CRM Microsoft Office etc.).
  • Ability to travel 0-5% of the time.
  • Attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a wide variety and high quantity of tasks at any given time.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative identify gaps and lead cross-functional efforts to drive results.
  • Ability to build relationships and mentor others.
  • Must have knowledge of human resources practices and trends.
  • Ability to problem solve analyze data and present in a manner that helps inform decisions.
  • Ability to lead project teams and keep projects on track.
  • Ability to stay on task and meet deadlines.


This is an in-person position at our NHA Service Center located at 3850 Broadmoor Ave. Grand Rapids MI.
