We are seeking a compassionate student-centered Elementary School Counselor to join our school community. The elementary school counselor supports the academic social emotional and spiritual development of students by providing counseling services classroom guidance and collaborative support for families teachers and administrators.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing individual and small-group counseling to support students social emotional and behavioral growth
- Delivering age-appropriate classroom lessons on topics such as social skills emotional regulation conflict resolution and character development
- Collaborating with teachers administrators and parents to support student success
- Assisting with crisis response and student support plans when needed
- Supporting school-wide initiatives related to student well-being positive behavior and school climate
- Maintaining appropriate documentation and confidentiality in accordance with school and professional guidelines
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in School Counseling or a related field
- Valid state school counseling license or certification
- Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong communication collaboration and organizational skills
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of a Catholic school.
