The Product Catalog team owns the product data that powers the Stitch Fix ecosystem from assortment decisions to personalized recommendations that help clients find clothes they love. We are a multidisciplinary team of full-stack and MDM engineers who ensure catalog data is governed trusted and delivered reliably at scale across the company.

About the Role

As a Lead MDM Engineer (Stibo STEP) you will be a hands-on technical owner of Stitch Fixs Stibo STEP platform sitting at the intersection of engineering merchandising styling and operations. Your work will directly enable how products are onboarded enriched governed and surfaced across the business powering critical workflows and client-facing experiences.

You will own the full lifecycle of product catalog and MDM solutions from design and delivery through production support and continuous improvement. Partnering closely with product managers business stakeholders and engineering and data science you will help shape platform direction and ensure Stitch Fixs product data is accurate scalable and ready to support growth.

Were excited about you because

• You have 7 years of hands-on experience with the Stibo STEP MDM/PIM platform in a retail or eCommerce environment.
• You have 2 years of experience as a technical leader including leading projects and owning delivery outcomes.
• You bring strong technical depth across STEP configuration JavaScript-based business rules SQL and data modeling with a strong grasp of REST APIs and integration patterns (e.g. Kafka ETL processes).
• You have strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills to identify data-driven and holistic solutions.
• You can break down complex business needs into actionable plans prioritizing high-impact work and clearly communicating decisions and tradeoffs to technical and business partners.
• You take ownership of operational excellence by participating in on-call rotations resolving production incidents and improving system reliability over time.
• You enjoy mentoring and coaching engineers and seeing them learn and grow
• You are flexible and curious
• You might have knowledge of Ruby or similar backend languages
• You might have exposure to AI and machine learning concepts
