Job Summary
AI Automation Engineer (JuniorMid Level)
EPEX Home Performance Albuquerque NM (Hybrid or Remote)
EPEX Home Performance is building the next-generation home services company integrating solar roofing windows and HVAC into unified performance systems.
Now we are building the AI layer that powers it.
We are looking for a hands-on AI Automation Engineer to work directly with our AI & Systems Lead to help build internal automation AI agents and integrations across sales marketing recruiting and operations.
This is a builder role for someone who wants to grow fast in applied AI.
Ideal Candidate
13 years of development or automation experience
Has built real projects (side projects count)
Excited about applied AI in business
Comfortable working in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment
Builder mindset
Requirements
What Youll Do
Build internal automation tools using Claude and OpenAI APIs
Connect and integrate CRM marketing and operational systems
Develop AI-powered workflows that increase efficiency
Rapidly prototype internal AI agents
Assist in deploying AI into daily business processes
Help scale the companys internal automation infrastructure
Required Skills
Experience using LLM APIs (Claude OpenAI etc.)
Basic backend knowledge (Node Python or similar)
Familiarity with Git and VS Code
Experience with automation tools (Zapier Make n8n etc.)
Strong problem-solving ability
Ability to learn quickly and work independently
