The Property and Casualty Consulting Practice assists insurance companies self-insured corporations government entities and other organizations with all aspects of managing property and casualty insurance exposures. We guide P&C clients on their qualitative assessment and quantification of risk and loss exposures and offer advice on a range of issues from external business strategy and internal risk management to economic capital modeling and new product development.

Summary

Oliver Wymans US P&C Actuarial Consulting Practice is hiring anEngineering Lead Actuarial Systems (Data and Technology)to set technical direction lead engineering teams on client projects and deliver productiongrade actuarial and financial solutions across cloud data and application layers. The Engineering Lead will drive architecture and execution for transformation programs liaise with product and business stakeholders and leverage modern tooling including AIassisted development to improve speed quality and operational resilience. The role is clientfacing and deliveryfocused suited to a proven leader who combines program and technical delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams set technical direction assign work and ensure ontime highquality delivery of platform features and client solutions.
• Design and own endtoend solutions across cloud data and application layers: for example but not limited to data ingestion data stores analytics/forecasting pipelines APIs and dashboards.
• Translate product and actuarial/financial requirements into architectural designs development roadmaps testing strategies and deployment plans; act as the technical engineering lead during delivery.
• Oversee implementations and ensure solutions meet performance security and compliance expectations.
• Apply and champion modern tooling and practices (CI/CD automated testing version control) andAIassisted developmentto accelerate development while maintaining code quality and governance.
• Drive stakeholder engagement: present technical designs and progress to senior stakeholders coordinate with client teams and translate technical tradeoffs into business decisions.
• Establish and improve delivery best practices data quality controls and technical documentation to support repeatable scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing delivery teams and large IT/finance transformation projects (managing 920 resources or equivalent program responsibility).
• Strong technical experience in designing enterprise architectures and delivering end-to-end cloud data and application solutions with proven experience implementing data and analytics platforms. Hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud-native architectures and fullstack solutions with strong capability across frontend frameworks (e.g. Angular React) backend platforms and languages (e.g. Java ) APIs/microservices containerization/orchestration and CI/CD pipelines. Demonstrated experience creating development schedules testing plans and deployment strategies for production software.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; experience acting as an engineering lead and/or client liaison in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred

• Background working with insurance banking or financial services clients and familiarity with actuarial/financial workflows and regulatory considerations.
• Practical experience with AIassisted development or modern cloud ML platforms (accelerating development testing or documentation).
• Experience delivering multimillion-dollar software deployments licensing initiatives or enterprise rollouts.
• Advanced degree (MBA/MS) or certifications relevant to data engineering cloud platforms or program management.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $125k -$200k.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience skills training location certifications and education and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

In addition to the base salary this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
