The Opportunity:

This is an opportunity to join TGI Sport in the role of People & Culture Business Partner. Reporting to the Global Head of Human Resources this role is a part of the Global HR Team (with operations in Australia North and South America UK and Europe) and is responsible for the people and culture delivery for the Australian group.

The standalone nature of this role requires you to support the local leaders and more than 100 employees with their day to day people and culture needs end to end. This role will operate in parallel with and is supported by the Global HR Team.

Whilst the role is generalist in nature and every day will be different there is a moderate amount of talent acquisition and workforce planning that will suit anyone who enjoys working with people leaders to design and help build the teams they need for the future.

This role is additionally supported by the Australian Office Manager based in Cremorne as a direct report of this role as well as TGI Sport Australias in-house Senior Lawyer.

Your Mission:

Developing and maintaining a core skill set workforce and culture which aligns with business needs and increases employee engagement

Providing quality timely advice and coaching support to managers on employee relations and industrial relations issues (some payroll and award interpretation not heavy IR)

Coaching managers and coordinate the development and effective implementation of action plans and initiatives

Advising managers on effectively managing employee performance and development ensuring employees have clear objectives development plans and receive ongoing feedback

Managing grievances disciplinary matters and staff related complaints requiring advice mediation or investigation

Management of the employee life cycle within Australia.

About You:

Experience in candidate management and sourcing through to selection and onboarding

Demonstrated success in a Talent Attraction and/or People & Culture Business Partner or Support role

Generalist HR background and experience

Proven track record in facilitating change and the ability to influence outcomes

Some experience in employee relations and grievance handling

Proven experience as a strong business partner with ability to influence coach and persuade managers and provide guidance as appropriate

A values driven and influential approach to leadership

Appreciation of Workplace Health & Safety Injury Management/Return to Work and WorkCover management.

Qualifications & Experience:

Relevant Tertiary Qualifications and/or currently studying
