Job Description:
This position will be appointed FSO and will be responsible for the Facility Clearance submittal and approval process in NISS developing and administering security programs and procedures for classified sensitive or proprietary materials documents and equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Ensuring program compliance with all corporate and government requirements and directives.
- Researching and implementing federal security regulations maintaining knowledge and awareness of interdisciplinary compliance requirements (finance cyber information technology and trade compliance).
- Obtain rulings interpretations and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
- Prepare manuals outlining regulations and establish procedures for handling storing retaining records and access by personnel or visitors to restricted records and materials. Conduct security education training and security audits.
- Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Collect assimilate and interpret intelligence information and disseminate to the appropriate stakeholder or investigating authority.
- Process and manage subcontract DD254s and disseminate to the GCA as required.
- Implementation of NISPOM eFCR 32 part 117 and DoDM 5200.01 volumes 1-4. and IC Directives.
- Communicate with parties within and outside of the organization which includes customers or vendors.
- Ability to apply NISP DoD ICD and corporate security policies.
- Conducting self-inspections and participating in government industrial security assessments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI
- Experience with security processes and procedures within the DoD and IC communities
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with Intrusion Detection and Access Control Systems
- Initiative in pursuing problems opportunities and innovative solutions while handling both the micro level of security compliance and the macro level of business opportunities.
- In-depth knowledge of the NISPOM DoD 5200.01 RMF process OPSEC and related security for a broad range of customers in DoD.
- Knowledge of resources and practices in the intelligence community; must be current on changing requirements.
- Knowledge of best practices in implementing physical security methods consistent with the heightened risk environment while minimizing adverse effects on staff and visitors.
- Experience in designing and conducting security education and training programs.
- Ability to implement compliance programs.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in California Massachusetts New Jersey Washington and the Greater D.C Denver or NYC areas is $105500 - $196500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state Hawaii Illinois Maryland Minnesota New York state Cleveland Ohio and Vermont is $91500 - $170500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
