LAFAYETTE AVIATORS INTERNSHIP SUMMER 2026
FOCUS: Social Media & Graphics
The Aviators play at Loeb Stadium which opened in 2021 and features stadium suites and a variety of premium seating options.
The Aviators organization has developed an intensive internship program designed to prepare participants for careers in sports. Interns immediately become part of the game day staff gaining hands-on experience in stadium operations fan engagement ticket sales and marketing in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. Interns learn by doing working through real situations encountered at the ballpark with daily discussions to reflect problem-solve and grow professionally.
While interns will be exposed to all aspects of team and stadium operations we are seeking a small number of individuals for a game entertainment-focused internship that provides the opportunity to develop communication marketing game presentation customer service and organizational skills.
This internship is open to undergraduate and graduate students as well as recent college graduates. Internship is unpaid and for college credit.
Ideal Candidate
- Available to start May 13th through approximately August 12th (dates can be adjusted)
- Able to work 3040 hours per week
- Available for all 30 home games and potential playoff games during the 2024 season
- Comfortable assisting with social media posts across all platforms (Instagram Facebook X TikTok LinkedIn YouTube)
- Skilled in creating and editing graphics for social media content
- Able to help plan and execute game day social media coverage
- Willing to assist with website graphics and digital content
- Capable of creating shooting and editing engaging content during games for Instagram and TikTok
- Able to research trends and content ideas to enhance fan engagement
