As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Banking youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

Job responsibilities:

• Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams contractors and vendors
• Develops secure and high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Drives decisions that influence the product design application functionality and technical operations and processes
• Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
• Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firm-wide frameworks tools and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
• Adds to the team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect
• Drives end to end technical delivery by leading project planning architectural decisions cross functional coordination and execution to ensure high quality on-time outcomes
• Maintain and Deploy ECS and EKS applications to AWS
• Coding designing & developing scalable & resilient streaming first applications using Java Spring Kafka Streams Flink Data Lake & Low Latency stores

• Performing maintenance and production support

Required qualifications capabilities and skills:

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years applied experience
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design application development testing and operational stability
• 8 plus year of experience in designing & developing scalable & resilient streaming first applications using Java Spring Kafka Streams Apache Flink & Low Latency stores (Cassandra)
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
• Hands on AWS cloud management experience (ECS)
• Experience in Computer Science Computer Engineering Mathematics or a related technical field
• Experience driving end to end technical delivery ensure high quality in execution
• Strong hands on lead experience with varying levels of Software Engineers

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills:

• Experience working with Petabyte scale environments and streaming billions of events per day
• AWS Certified
• Experience with Data Lake
• Experience in a very large I.T. financial services environment
• Experience in leading a team of varying levels of Software Engineers
