The CFO Advisory (Finance Advisory) team at BDO Brisbane is part of our Advisory practice. We partner with clients across the public private and notforprofit sectors to support uplift and transform finance functions. Our work helps CFOs and senior leaders improve financial insight governance and decisionmaking particularly during periods of change.

Our engagements span a range of finance advisory services including:

• Finance function uplift and optimisation
• Finance systems selection implementation and improvement
• Accounting and audit readiness support
• Transactionrelated finance transformation (including mergers restructures and new entity setups)
• Tactical accounting support
• Sustainability reporting adoption and implementation

Current Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our CFO Advisory team in Brisbane. This role offers exposure to a broad mix of client engagements and direct interaction with finance leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Advisory engagements focused on improving finance processes systems reporting and governance
• Work directly with client finance teams and senior stakeholders to understand currentstate challenges and support practical improvements
• Contribute to finance transformation initiatives triggered by transactions restructures system changes or growth
• Provide handson support across financial reporting sustainability reporting and audit readiness activities
• Assist with analysis documentation and development of client deliverables
• Collaborate with colleagues across Advisory to deliver integrated endtoend solutions
• Build trusted relationships with clients through highquality practical delivery

About You

• Experienced accountant or finance professional with a background in commercial finance or Business Services OR
• Experience in audit or advisory roles within a professional services environment
• CA or CPA qualified or nearing completion
• Interest in working closely with clients and applying accounting expertise to improve finance functions
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with finance stakeholders
• Analytical mindset with the ability to understand finance systems processes and reporting
• Collaborative adaptable and motivated by variety and problemsolving
