Job Summary

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified (desirable) trade person to join our Maintenance Team to provide general handyperson services to residential care service.

As a Maintenance Officer you will work autonomously and as a team to provide routine planned ad-hoc and respond to urgent maintenance requests and general garden maintenance. And the requests are varied! You can expect requests from planned maintenance works like painting patching and flooring repairs general pruning and planned mowing through to assisting residents with sensors water pressure TV remotes or bathroom and handrail installations no day is the same in Aged Care. As the Maintenance Officer you will be part of a supportive dedicated team at St Vincents Care Services Edgecliff.

St Vincents Care Services Edgecliff is just 4km east of Sydneys city centre. Our small but homey 39 bed facility is located in a tranquil leafy suburb within walking distance of public transport.

Things that work for us

  • Have relevant trade qualifications (desirable) in carpentry painter electrician or plumbing

  • Relatable experience (essential) in Aged Care Health or Community (highly desirable)

  • Ability to perform maintenance works

  • Hold a valid Drivers Licence (essential)

  • Experience working in a varied work environment

  • Customer service mindset we are a person centred organisation

  • Planning and time management skills

  • Participate in an on call roster

  • Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (within last 6 months).

  • NDIS Worker Screening Checkmaybe a requirement of this role.
