Primary Purpose
Assist in receiving storing issuing and delivering of all textbook material assets and maintaining inventory control.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
- Clear and valid Texas drivers license
Special Knowledge/Skills
- Ability to use automated inventory system
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Effective organizational communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate a forklift electric pallet jack able to drive a box truck and pull a trailer
- Ability to maintain electronic files for auditing purposes
- Must possess personal qualities related to respect for the rights and confidentiality of others
Experience
- One year delivery experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Warehouse Receiving and Distribution
- Receives and verifies textbooks deliveries.
- Verify accuracy of shipments and record any discrepancies or damage.
- Pick up out of adoption textbooks sort and palletize them for disposal
- Load and unload textbook delivery trucks
- Deliver textbooks and materials to district campuses when requested
Additional Warehouse and Support Duties
- Retrieves out-of-adoption textbooks sorts and palletizes them for disposal.
- Sorts labels labels and separates textbook materials.
- Records received textbooks into instructional material database.
- Prepares and prints and applies tracking barcodes for district material.
- Performs campus audits for the end of the year using Tipweb (Instructional Material Database)
Surplus Auction Duties
- Prepares spreadsheets with item descriptions lot numbers and district contact.
- Photograph edits and itemizes each lot into the correct sale category.
- Works with auction services and provides item documents photos and minimum bids to begin the auction.
- Itemize palletize and organize lot items for buyer pick up.
- Conduct inspections for potential buyers.
- Contact buyers when items have not been picked up on the final call.
- Responsible for the follow-up of auction final sale documentation from the auction service.

- Flexible to changes in routine and adapts quickly to changing situations
- Reliable and responsible attendance and punctuality
- Demonstrates respect courteous to peers and visitors and assist fellow workers willingly
