Job Summary
The Sapling School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team in Fair Lawn NJ. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the growth and development of young children. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering a love of learning in every child.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social emotional cognitive and physical development.
- Create a safe welcoming and engaging classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships with children parents and staff.
- Observe and assess each childs progress and communicate regularly with families.
- Maintain compliance with licensing and health and safety standards.
- Lead and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in early childhood education preferably as a lead teacher.
- Relevant certifications or degrees in Early Childhood Education or related fields.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a structured yet nurturing environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Passion for working with young children and fostering their development.
