Job Summary

Subject to formal establishment a vacancy may arise for a WO-Flt Lt (Ground Combat and Security - Regt) to serve as OC Force Protection Flight at RAF Wittering on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 03 August 2026 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status and formal establishment but not before 01 June 2026).

1. You are to undertake the following role related duties commensurate with your rank and as directed by OC Force Development Sqn:

a. Command the FP Trg Flt and ensure that personnel achieve their personal and professional objectives whilst ensuring their welfare is protected. Ensure discipline is maintained.

b. Carry out the duties as associated with OC FP Trg Flt and act as a focal point for FP matters for Stn along with providing SME advice our output as applicable in relation to Stn trg exercises or the development of ACE capability.

c. Organise and conduct FP Trg in accordance with requirements of AP3242 Volumes A-H and the relevant FP Trg Policies.

d. Correctly manage the civilian employee in accordance with Defence Business Services policy.

f. Assessing the effectiveness of Stn FP Trg identifying deficiencies and providing solutions to trg problems.

g. Providing coordination and control of trg documentation and implementing evaluation where appropriate.

h. Respond to short notice FP Trg requirements to meet Operational surges. Where possible work with stakeholders from across RAF Wittering to anticipate the likely demand signals.

i. Issue and maintenance of individual TORs for all Wittering FP Trg Flt personnel.

j. Managerial responsibility to implement and comply with Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety directives in accordance with the Stn Cdrs policy.

k. Be prepared to support the development or activation of Stn emergency contingency plans including the stations Base Defence Plan.

l. Familiarise yourself with and carry out duties associated with the Stn Major Accident Plan.

m. Undertake the role of SPO for LF activity as required. Also BPT act as the planning and conducting officer in support of Stn trg requirements.

n. Deputise for OC FDS as required.

o. Fitness and mandatory trg. Maintain personal fitness and personal competencies in accordance with current service policy.

p. SJARs. Ensure that all SJARs for which you are Reporting Officer are completed in accordance with the mandated timescales.

2. Additional responsibilities/Other tasks: In addition to his primary duties OC FP Trg Flt is to:

a. Supervise the day-to-day administration and practices of the FP Trg Flt AOR.

b. Monitor the state of repair of the FP Trg Flt AOR and ensure Wks Svcs are implemented where required via the building custodian.

c. Ensure the RAF Regt and the Flt are promoted on Stn within the Service and the local community.

d. Maintain the bearing dress deportment and conduct in a manner suitable for a RAF Regt Offr.

e. Maintain the Flts Business Impact Assessment.

f. Any other duties or tasks as detailed by OC FDS.

g. General responsibilities: You are to
