Hanover is looking for a dynamic and talented communications professional to join our Corporate team as a Senior Consultant (Senior Account Manager).

The successful candidate will be a mid-level member of our corporate communications practice and will advise Hanovers impressive client portfolio while mentoring junior colleagues. Day to day the Senior Consultant will play an important role in driving forward client account work manage teams and contribute to new business and marketing activity.

The position will be based at our London office but the successful candidate may have the opportunity to work on clients we share with colleagues in our Brussels Dublin and Dubai offices.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop close client relationshipsplayan important roleinexternal clientmeetingsand be the first point of contact acrossa number ofclient accounts.
  • Providestrategic advice to clients and prospective clients.
  • Leadmediacontactprogrammes attend and support meetings between clients and any media.
  • Develophigh quality media contacts within key media targets.
  • Demonstrate an active and ever-expanding new business networkidentifyopportunities to cross-sell services between Hanover teams and offices.
  • Actively contribute tonew business development including marketing with the possibility of projectmanagement for a suitable candidate.
  • Playa central roleindelivering outstandingclient work on multiple accounts including participatingactively ininternal account management meetingsand recommending how to take advantage of opportunities andmitigate threats.
  • Supportjunior colleagues helping to mentor and develop talent from within the team.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Expertknowledgeand experience of working inUKmediaenvironments.
  • Prior experience within a consultancy or in-house PR/communications teampreferably within financial servicesfood & drinkFMCGor TMT.
  • Experience inadvising clients in crisis situations and managing potentially negative issues.
  • Good understanding ofUKPR industrywithstrongmedia contacts(particularly on national titles and with broadcasters).
  • Understandingexperienceand real appetite inbudgeting managingpipelinesand developing new businessopportunities.
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines strongorganisationalskills.
  • Excellentverbal andcreative writing skills.
  • Very strongteam-workingcollaborationand interpersonal skills.
