The Director Promotional Marketing plays a critical role in shaping Tao Group Hospitalitys hip-hop and live performance programming and artist-driven experiences across our portfolio of venues. This role serves as the primary liaison between upper-tier hip-hop talent artist teams internal marketing operations and talent buying ensuring seamless execution elevated artist experiences and strong event performance.
This position blends relationship management creative activation and performance-driven marketing to support ticket sales group business and long-term artist partnerships.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Act as a strategic liaison between artist teams and marketing to ensure alignment across all touchpoints and all marketing requirements are met pre during and post of each show.
Proactively cultivate and maintain strong industry relationships to support programming special activations and repeat bookings
Oversee the trafficking organization and delivery of all hip-hop artist marketing assets to artist teams and internal stakeholders
Cultivate and manage 3rd party hip hop promoters and influencers.
Collaborate with venue teams to develop tailored parties programming and experiential moments built around specific artists
Provide creative feedback and direction for hip hop marketing materials and assets ensuring consistency quality and elevated execution
Leverage industry relationships to layer in strategic partnerships experiential elements and high-value enhancements
Oversee weekend promotions by curating the house tables at Hip Hop events.
Partner with marketing and digital teams to amplify artist moments through social influencer and on-site content opportunities
Monitor ticket sales performance across all assigned artist dates proactively identifying underperforming (trouble) dates
Develop and deploy strategic action plans to drive awareness demand and ticket sales for challenged dates
Utilize industry networks to secure large group bookings convention traffic and high-value after-party attendance
Support talent buyers with market insights artist performance data and programming recommendations participating in weekly booking meetings.
Identify emerging trends in hip-hop culture and live entertainment to inform event strategy and activation concepts
Serve as a resource for cross-venue collaboration helping scale successful artist activations
Ensure all activations align with venue standards brand voice and operational
Identify and book local support and headline slot open format DJs that work best with live performer talent leveraging business and additional promotional support from the DJs on performance nights at Hakkasan on Fridays and Saturdays Marquee NC / DC live performers and Tao Beach Sundays.
Identify concert afterparty opportunities and aligned bookings to drive business from big events in town.
Occasionally act as an artist liaison when needed coordinating artist hospitality and logistics for duration of their trips to Las Vegas.
Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned
EDUCATION/WORKING KNOWLEDGE:
- 5 years of experience in marketing nightlife live events or entertainment marketing
- Proficient in Windows MS Office WordPress Facebook Business Manager Google and all social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook Instagram Twitter Google My Business YouTube LinkedIn and Pinterest
- Highly organized detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple artists dates and venues simultaneously
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced high-profile environment
- Proficient with budget creation and implementation
