Job Summary
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervises and coordinates activities of production workers
- Interprets company policies and collective bargaining agreement
- Demonstrated commitment and enforcement of safe work practices
- Maintains time and production reports
- Coordinates with maintenance and other departments in Raynor
- Establishes or adjusts work procedure to meet production schedules
- Recommends measures to improve production methods equipment performance and quality of product
- Suggests changes in work conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop department and crew
Knowledge skills and abilities:
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Deals effectively with multiple internal/external customers of varying levels
- Demonstrated ability to effectively motivate foster teamwork and supervise direct reports
- Knowledge and ability concerning specific machine capacity and capability issues
- Capable to increase manufacturing efficiencies through effective scheduling
- Knowledge of products specifications and BOM requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency in communication self presentation and interpersonal skills
- Solid communication skills at all levels of the organization
PC skills with experience in MS Office and knowledge and use of JD Edwards
